Get to Know the Program

Medical Assistants play a key role in both administrative and clinical tasks, working alongside physicians in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospital-affiliated clinics, outpatient centers, and government-run facilities.

Graduates of our Medical Assistant Program are eligible to pursue national certification through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) by successfully completing a standardized proficiency exam.

As a Medical Assistant You Will Learn the Following Skills:
How to work along side healthcare providers in one of the nation's fastest growing occupations
Take medical histories and patient vitals
Explain treatment procedures to patients as directed by healthcare providers.
Perform basic lab tests
Prepare and administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
Properly draw blood
Take electrocardiograms
May perform medical billing & coding
